Sign the Petition to Place END the Income Tax
on the November ballot!

Here's How You Can Help:

Print petition form(s)

Use standard WHITE letter-size paper (8-1/2" by 11") -- the kind that's probably in your printer right now.

Make sure it prints in black ink. (If you use a color printer and a cartridge is low on ink, it may print brown or some other color that could be rejected, making all signatures on the page invalid.)

It's 2-sided, so please print the second page on the back side of the first page.

Do not reduce the image. Print 100% of image size. The Elections Division will only accept exact copies that fill the page. Please be sure the box at the bottom of page 2 does not get cut off by your printer.

If you plan to do a lot of petitioning and need many blank copies, email us at this address and let us know how many you need, where and when you plan to petition, and your full contact information - including the address to send petitions to:

volunteer (at sign) SmallGovernmentAct (dot) org

Sign - and gather signatures from others

Enter signatures on the front page (use the back side for more).

1. On the left side, sign your name (or have voters sign) under the heading "SIGNATURE". If your signature is not legible, please print your name right next to it in the same box or on the line below it (and skip that line for the next signature). Voters who signed last year's END the Massachusetts Income Tax petition may NOT sign again - they must be new signers to get certified.

2. On the right side, enter your residential street address as you're registered to vote (no post office boxes) in the column labeled "NOW REGISTERED AT". Include apartment number. You do not need to enter Ward nor Precinct.

3. Enter the voter's Massachusetts city or town in the box at the bottom of the page where indicated.

Please ask other voters in your household, your neighbors, or your co-workers to sign as well.

Note: you must use separate sheets for every city and town. If you are collecting signatures at a store, for example, bring at least 20 blank sheets as you will run into voters from a variety of towns in the area.

NO STRAY MARKS are permitted by Massachusetts law. If you fill in a sheet and someone accidentally marks it with a pen, all signatures on the sheet may become invalid! Please keep them clean! Be especially careful not to alter the petition anywhere near the summary statement.

Mail in petitions ASAP!

When you're done signing or collecting signatures, please mail them that day to the address on the petition:

Petition CC,  PO Box 5268,  Wayland, MA  01778

Please don't delay! It is critical that you mail us your petition ASAP! Your signature in the mail today could make all the difference!

(If you want to get them certified by the towns yourself, you are welcome to do so. However we strongly prefer that you mail them to us directly and let us submit them for you -- since we'll be submitting them to every town anyway. This way it's easier for us to keep track of what we have and ensure none slip through the cracks. Thanks!)

We aim to get all signatures turned in to us by June 1st - but absolutely no later than June 9th. It REALLY HELPS us if you get them to us sooner because we must sort them, check their validity, etc. So please send them in as soon as you have collected a bunch and have stopped petitioning - even if you plan to do more later.

Please print, sign, and mail today. Thank you!

Small government is possible!
