Boston Globe August 2007:
Activists again propose vote to end income tax We're calling for a rematch! The 2008 Ballot Initiative to END the Massachusetts Income Tax
We nearly did it in 2002, winning 45.3% of the vote! We came so close!
The state constitution required us to sit out two election cycles before trying it again. We did, and now the 2008 election year is upon us. We're gunna run End the Income Tax again in 2008!
But first, we need to collect 100,000 raw signatures - in a very short time frame from mid-September to mid-November of 2007. We need all the volunteer and financial support we can get.
To volunteer, please send an email to volunteer (at sign) SmallGovernmentAct (dot) org. Let us know when you're available -- and any particular skills or resources you can offer. Thank you!
To donate, click here or send a check to: Committee for Small Government, 6 Goodman Lane, Wayland, MA 01778. The check can be in any amount (there are no limits as with candidates). The law requires us to ask you to supply your name and address.
Please subscribe to Small Government News - we'll keep you updated. We'll also let you know about what you can do to help us collect petition signatures, campaign events, and other volunteer projects.
2008 is sizing up to be a rocking, rolling election year! Please join us today.
The Center For Small Government was created by the sponsors of the End the Income Tax initiative. We advocate for bold, small government campaigns and bold, small government proposals to reduce the size, scope, spending, taxation and authority of Big Government. Click here to learn more...
